October 11 - Snakes

Snake expert Sara Ruane will tell us about her adventures with these much-maligned reptiles, including the work she does to analyze DNA from pickled snakes stored in the sub-basement of the Field Museum and the time she was late to a wedding because she wanted to collect a dead snake off the road. Whether you're already a snake lover (an ophiophilist, if you're feeling fancy) or you're still skeptical about how great snakes really are, it'll be a frightfully fun night! We'll be indoors for this one, so bring your mask, your proof of vaccination, and your Halloween spirit!
